Dr. Shipon is an energizing, cut-to-the-chase, solution focused psychotherapist. His approach is to provide support and keenly observant practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He uses his observations of body language, expressions, tones of voice, posture, etc., to help discern exactly what is happening for them, and then will ask them to change these things in order to change their experience. He teaches clients to avoid self-judgment and cultivate direction to help them build on their strengths and take massive action towards their goals. Dr. Shipon is the clinical director, and may consult with you or your Inner Wellth coach/therapist on rapid-change techniques as requested.
Dr. Torres believes that one size does not fit all and crafts the techniques she uses in therapy around her client. She places the utmost importance on building a trusting and safe environment for the client and allows the client to guide the therapy. She uses aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to aid in building coping skills and improving relationships. She specializes in working with adults in dealing with life challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, behavioral problems, and problems with with wellness and nutrition.
Dr. Kaylon specializes working with adolescents struggling with the physical changes, emotional shifts, increased responsibilities, social relationships, increased pressures, and academic challenges that come with this stage of life. She works collaboratively with the adolescent and his/her family to to help move the client through change and the emotional processes that he/she is experiencing. She treats a spectrum of difficulties including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, substance abuse, and dual diagnoses.
Audra believes that therapy should be tailored to the individual’s specific needs, as every person is unique, each with his or her own different strengths and challenges. Her approach is one that is flexible and integrative, but is always directive and compassionate. Specializing in children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, stress management difficulties, and career challenges. Audra’s goal is to provide her clients with an empathetic and non-judgmental space that opens the way for self-discovery.
Dr. Ilaria believes that there is a strong connection between emotional well-being and physical well-being, and that creating balance in one's life is the path to wellness. Her primary goal is to provide an atmosphere of safety where clients can feel comfortable and where trust can be built. She has been trained in psychodynamic and brief psychodynamic approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness approaches, and clinical hypnotherapy. Dr. Ilaria draws from this skill-set to find an approach that works for her clients to get the most out of their psychotherapy consultations.
Dr. Geraci focuses on the courage and resilience of her clients and helps guide them through their challenges, while teaching them new skills to carry them further in her lives. She speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese. Dr. Geraci works with clients in middle school and high school in her skills training groups, and will soon be offering individual psychotherapy.
Shawnis a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) who believes that being present in the here and now, while also attending to past concerns that have shadowed the now is at the heart of true wellness and recovery. He believes that courage and self-determination are powerful tools that are always available to us on the journey of self-exploration and empowerment. His goal is to collaboratively get to the heart of the matter and examine the processes that sabotage successes in recovery. This establishes the platform for making meaningful changes in other areas of everyday life.
Jennifer tailors her approaches to her clients' unique life situations. She focuses on cultivating a warm, empathic environment. She also has an advanced counseling certificate in addition to her master's degree in counseling. She is an autism and Asperger's Disorder specialist as well, and has a great deal of experience working with people of all ages in various formats, including individual sessions and groups.
Medina is completing her graduate education in clinical mental health counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently accepting adult psychotherapy clients for individual, couples, family, and group work. Medina's approach is to mobilize a client's strengths and previous successes to address the current life challenges at hand. She does this with a sense of warmth and engagement, and connects easily with many different kinds of people. She is currently accepting private pay and sliding scale clients.
Diana is starting her career in psychology and has been called a natural at hypno-counseling due to her calming presence, interpersonal skills, and hypnotic voice quality. She is the technology-assisted meditation technician of the practice using the Muse brain-sensing headband, a medical-grade EEG machine that teaches the meditation skill with real-time feedback. She has also proven to be an essential part of our organization as the operations manager, and may prove to be an essential part of your own journey in building self-confidence and attaining your goals.
